Brunch is Always a Good Idea, Especially in Frederick

on May 3, 2017

A weekend brunch is always a good idea and these days feels like the meal we enjoy out most often. With Mother’s Day coming up we decided to round up our recent favorites and share a few of our best brunchy tips.

The cinnamon rolls at The Wine Kitchen are among some of the best. Made from scratch and served nice and hot, we’re powerless to resist. We’d also definitely recommend some of their house-cured bacon and a bloody mary (they make the mix for those from scratch too!)

Firestone’s Culinary Tavern is always a solid option for brunch. Whether you saddle up to the bar or snag one of the window tables upstairs, definitely consider the pastrami hash when making your meal selection.

It had been awhile since we’d been to Hootch & Banter, it’s always so busy (which is totally a good thing) that we don’t often consider going there. We were able to make brunch happen there a couple of weekends ago though and it was worth the wait. Pictured is the berries & cream french toast.

For those times when you’ve already had breakfast (because you just couldn’t wait) but still find yourself at brunch and want more of a snack, we present to you Cafe Nola’s breakfast empanadas.

Not in the mood for breakfast food? That’s the beauty of brunch, anything goes! A recent weekend visit to the patio at AYSE Meze had us ordering a super satisfying assortment of savory plates to share, no eggs in sight.

Headed to someone else’s house for brunch, don’t go empty handed. Flowers are nice but Glory Doughnuts are better.

A few other brunch favorites for your consideration …

And no matter where you go or when, always leave room for dessert.

Pro tip - Most of these places take reservations. Do yourself a favor, save yourself the stress (and hanger pains,) and make your brunch plans ahead of time if possible.
